AP Studio Art​

AP Studio Art는 2-D Design, 3-D Design 그리고 Drawing의 3개 과목이 있으며 한학기 수업  이후 각 과목마다 Section 1, Section 2에 해당하는 미술포트폴리오를 제출하여야 하며, 성적은 1~5로 구분되어 평가 받게 됩니다. 대학에서 학점으로 인정받으려면 4 혹은 5를 받아야 합니다. AP아트 프로그램은 주로 상위권 종합대학에 지원하려고 하는 학생들의 필수 이수 과목이며 특히 아트와 관련된 전공에 관심있는 학생들은 반드시 수강하는 것이 좋습니다. 또한 AP아트 대비수업반은 유학미술 포트폴리오를 동시에 준비할 수 있습니다.

Section 1: Sustained Investigation

15 digital images I 60% of Score

You’ll create a body of work that demonstrates:

  • sustained investigation through practice, experimentation, and revision

  • sustained investigation of materials, processes, and ideas

  • synthesis of materials, processes, and ideas

  • 2-D art and design skills

You’ll have to document in writing:

  • the questions that guided your sustained investigation

  • how your sustained investigation shows evidence of practice, experimentation, and revision guided by your questions

 

Section 2: Selected Works

5 physical works I 40% of Score

You’ll choose works that demonstrate:

  • 2-D art and design skills

  • synthesis of materials, processes, and ideas

For each work, you’ll have to describe in writing:

  • your ideas

  • the materials you used

  • the processes you used

 

Works may come from the Sustained Investigation section, but they do not have to. They may be a group of related works, unrelated works, or a combination of related and unrelated works.

2-D ART and DESIGN PORTFOLIO

DRAWING PORTFOLIO

IB Visual Art

​IB Art는 Standard Level과 High Level로 구분되며 학생의 선택에 따라 레벨을 정할 수 있습니다. 주로 리서치에 중점을 두고 있으며 스케치북 작업으로 완성하여 평가를 받습니다. 

Standard Level

High Level

Task 1 : 20%

Comparative study  Students analyse and compare different artworks by different artists. This independent critical and contextual investigation explores artworks, objects and artifacts from differing cultural contexts.

At SL: Compare at least 3 different artworks, by at least 2 different artists, with commentary over 10–15 pages. 

Task 2 : 40%

Process portfolio  Students submit carefully selected materials which evidence their experimentation, exploration, manipulation and refinement of a variety of visual arts activities during the two-year course.

At SL: 9–18 pages. The submitted work should be in at least two different art-making forms.

STANDARD LEVEL : Internal assessment task

Task 3 : 40%

Exhibition  Students submit for assessment a selection of resolved artworks from their exhibition. The selected pieces should show evidence of their technical accomplishment during the visual arts course and an understanding of the use of materials, ideas and practices appropriate to visual communication.

At SL: 4–7 pieces with exhibition text for each. A curatorial rationale (400 words maximum).  

STANDARD LEVEL : External assessment tasks

HIGH LEVEL : External assessment task

Task 1 : 20%

Comparative study  Students analyse and compare different artworks by different artists. This independent critical and contextual investigation explores artworks, objects and artifacts from differing cultural contexts.

At HL: As SL plus a reflection on the extent to which their work and practices have been influenced by any of the art/artists examined (3–5 pages).

Task 2 : 40%

Process portfolio  Students submit carefully selected materials which evidence their experimentation, exploration, manipulation and refinement of a variety of visual arts activities during the two-year course.

At HL: 13–25 pages. The submitted work should be in at least three different art-making forms. 

HIGH LEVEL : Internal assessment task

Task 3 : 40%

Exhibition  Students submit for assessment a selection of resolved artworks from their exhibition. The selected pieces should show evidence of their technical accomplishment during the visual arts course and an understanding of the use of materials, ideas and practices appropriate to visual communication.
